Well, obviously it would depend WHEN Mary marries the archduke in question. If it's after Mary's widowed for the first time, then Karl not Ferdinand II. If she never gets to France for some reason (maybe she ends up married to Edward VI instead of François II), then that means that she's widowed queen of England ithe early-mid 1550s rather than at the end like OTL, and Ferdinand is still free to marry her.
