AHC: Manchu language still dominant in Manchuria

You know that today, there are only 60 speakers of Manchu today? Well your mission is to create a POD (whether it's before or after 1900) that makes the Manchu language still widespread in their homeland.

The best idea I can think of is never having the Manchu conquer China in the first place. Prehaps if Nurhachi dies as a child, that could prevent the Jurchen/Manchu's from becoming powerful enough to take on Ming China.

This will be hard with a post 1100s PoD because the Jurchens were already heavily Sinicized even by the time the Manchus invaded.

Manchu was still spoken by a lot of people circa 1800's. You have to stop the flood of Chinese migrants to Manchuria that happened in the late 1800's. I'm not quite sure how to do that.

This is me just giving my two cents. Didn't the Qing send in Han Chinese settlers to Manchuria to better fortify the area in case of Russian expansionism?

Maybe have a Meiji Restoration equivalent occur in Japan in the 1860s, and have Japan begin its empire-building earlier. This might have created a scenario where Japan takes Korea and Manchuria becomes a Russian client state after a terrible Chinese defeat at the hands of a Russo-Japanese coalition. Basically, you need an independent, or at least non-Chinese ruled Manchuria before the waves of Han immigrants start arriving.

Qing dynasty was manchurian, remember.

I was told as well there is a modest but growing movement of manchus and manchus descended peoples to reeappropriates and regains some culture, and a possible reawakening of the language....
