AHC: Make YOUR country bigger and otherwise change nothing

IIRC, Anjouan and Mohéli authorities wanted to join back France in 1997, if France accepted, France would became bigger, and the butterflies will be minimal, but it will be a little trick since I only add two island to France, if you want a "greater" France without changing other border you could also haveBelgium split about the Bruxelle hal vilvorde issue during the 2000/2010 years, then Wallonia authorities could ask to join France, Catalonia could also secede to Spain and ask to join France because they couldn't survive alone.

PS : France could also have a lesser decolonisation.

UK takes Greenland and Iceland and Faroe during napoleonic wars.

No direct impacts but butterflies will always flutter. Maybe Kosovo will have a different border. The fall out of Yugoslavia basically means anyone pre1990 is going to risk butterflies..

Or in South Sudan

I have two
Germany:
That's easy. No WW1 or win it.

Morocco:
Get Ceuta and Melilla with the rest of the Rif..
Get the Tindouf-Bechar region by accepting the french proposal or negotiate with pre-Benbella Algeria or win the Sand-War.
Take Nouadhibou and northern Mauretania.

Weren't Napoleonic Wars in early 19th century not in 20th century?

I have two, to put it simply:

After commonwealth agreement with U.K., Australia in union with New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

After WW2, Malaysia and Brunei merges with Indonesia in a successful anti-colonial revolution in 1940s 0r 1950s with USSR's and PRC's support.

Quite simple idea I had. Come up with a scenario post 1900 that makes your country a "greater" version of itself and otherwise change no borders in the world, except for the countries you take land from.

UK. By 1900 we own the world. You have already lost. Close thread. ;-)

Not sure how to make Canada any bigger with a post-1900 POD, without massive changes in the timeline that is. Maybe we accept the Turks and Caicos as a province.

What if Greenland decides they're well and truly done with being part of Denmark after WWII but still prefer to be under a larger country's umbrella for defense purposes? I suppose the U.S. would be their most obvious alternative, but if that falls through for some reason, could they apply to join Canada instead? And would Canada have accepted them?

Angry French-speaking Swiss demonstrate to quit Switzerland because it's too "German-led", and then fuse with France as an autonomous territory because it would be a hassle to survive alone.

France receiving more Alps from Italy after WW2, most likely Aosta Valley since it's more connected to France than the rest of Italy.

Blow up Belgium at some moment after WW2, after the EU is kinda on rail, so that it doesn't make everyone angry

The Grimaldi family dies and people of Monaco asks to be attached to France

Have France get Kehl after WW2. Just to have a bridge on the Rhine.

French speking Vanuatu asks to remain as a part of the New Caledonian community

Christian parts of Lebanon being afraid of independance and remain French

All of these would have little influence on world history if played at the right time

Buy Point Roberts, WA and make it a suburb of Vancouver!

That would surely count, right?

Denmark annexes southern Slesvig after WW2. Also keeps Iceland after refusing to recognize independent.

Canada could grow larger if they were given that little piece of Minnesota on the north side of the Lake of the Woods called the Northwest Angle.

There are other smaller exclaves like Elm Point, MN and Point Roberts, WA that could be handed over too.
