A capital at Beijing is actually a decent idea, if not the best one.
For the sake of speculation, I point out that the founder of the Ming Dynasty wanted to create a new capital called Zhongdu, (but that doesn't necessarily mean capital) in what is now Chuzhou in Anhui Province. I don't remember why this didn't work, but I can see why there are going to be lots of problems with this idea.
Still, it's still possible that the Yongle Emperor will decide to continue with his father's ideas and construct Zhongdu from what was once Fengyang. I'm not sure how feasible this idea is in the long run. Perhaps the result would be that Yongle's successors move the capital back to
