In 1982, the Omni Future Almanac attempted to predict what nations would obtain nuclear weapons within the next 40 years. Starting with nations publicly known to possess nuclear weapons in 1980 (Israel is not among these six; presumably in 1980 the Israeli nuclear arsenal was not as widely known as it is today), it then goes on to predict which nations would obtain nuclear weapons by the 2000 those that would by 2020.
