So Texarkana was named after Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana because of its border location near the junction of those three states. Nevertheless, it's still fairly tiny and the metro area has about 120,000 people. With a POD of 1900 and without making it the capital of either Texas or Arkansas, make Texarkana a large metro area comparable in population to that of El Paso (approx 840k) or Little Rock (approx 730k).
