NOTE: This is a separate thread from the After 1900 version. All discussion of that sort pertaining to pre-1900 Presidential losers goes over here. Thanks. :)

The candidates:
- George Clinton - In 1804, George Clinton was selected as Thomas Jefferson's running mates over Aaron Burr, angered Burr, moved West and in 1806 spreading numerous rumors of military adventurism, recruiting men, stocking arms and building boats on the Upper Ohio River. By late March 1807, Burr was under arrest, but he was acquitted in a treason trial, even more angered on July 11 1807, three years after dueling with Alexander Hamilton, Burr duels with Jefferson and kills him.
Clinton is then created the 5th President of America and goes into the 1808 President election as the incumbent Presidnt with James Monroe as his Vice President, winning his first full term in office.

- Aaron Burr - Aaron Burr loses his duel with Alexander Hamilton, but survives, being chosen to serve as second term as Thomas Jefferson's Vice President in 1804.
In 1808, he is the most qualified candidate as is elected the 5th President of America.

- Charles C. Pinckney - In 1789, President George Washington offered Pinckney his choice of the State Department or the War Department; Pinckney chose to be the first Secretary of State, from 1789 – 1796 and is the main opposition against John Adams in 1796 and with his military history is elected as the 2nd President of the United States.

- DeWitt Clinton - DeWitt Clinton stood in the 1820 election against James Monroe, as a financial administrator, he was seen as the right guy to deal with the Panic of 1819 and was elected as the 6th President.
On February 11, 1828, Clinton died in office, with his vice president, John Q. Adams becomin the 7th President office from February 11 to March 4, 1829 before loosing to Andrew Jackson.
- Samuel Tilden - In my personal opinion he did win the 1876 Election, but to make it more in his favour, the swing state of South Carolina, 0.49% only needed 1,000 votes, so that would be the easiest way.

- James G. Blaine - Blaine is picked as Vice President, for James A. Garfield in 1880, 200 days after enteing office Garfield is shot and Blaine is the 21st President and goes into the 1884 election strong and ready to defeat Grover Cleverland.
