AHC: Make Mark Antony Win

AHC: Make Mark Antony Win

Been looking over the recent threads on what would happen if Mark Antony won, I am however more concerned how to make him win.

What could Mark Antony have done differently to achieve victory in the Roman Civil War. Octavian seems to have Antony between a rock and a hard place, so to speak, in the lead up to Actium.

In previous threads I have read some debate over land vs sea battle. Could Antony have forced a land battle in Greece?

Allied with Lepidus to crush Octavian after he screwed the former out of Sicily, but before Lepidus' downfall. It's a small window, but two out of three triumvirs versus Octavian should be enough to overcome his commanding position. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Failing that, there were always ample off-battlefield measures available to the Romans... Maybe something after Philippi

Here is an even better POD : have Quintus Fufius Calenus, who controlled the provinces of Gaul for Antony, not die by the end of the war of Perusia. Gaul then remains under Antony's control, as well as its legions. And Antony remains in 40 much more powerful than Octavian.

Didn't know that thanks for the info. :D
