AHC Make Kaiserreich La Plata a reality

So, looking at the world of Kaiserreich, and it's community, there's a joke about "Nothing happens in South America" a meme that goes around the HOI4 community as well, showcasing the basically no large events happen in South America.

But in Kaiserreich, things spiced up in South America.

Basically, in 1880 Argentina was experiencing an economic boom from the export of wheat, and cattle, and allowed them to industrialize.

Then in the 1930s, with the Great Depression, Bolivia attempted to annex Paraguay, sparking a war between the two. This caused the Great South American war. Argentina soon won many battles against Bolivia, after which the Argentinians marched into Paraguay to annex them. (Due to the recent Paraguayan war which killed about 60% of the population, they weren't too willing to put up a defense).

In response to Argentinian aggression and major military threat, Brazil declares war on Argentina. Argentina then invades Uruguay. But fighting in trenches bogged down over time. Bolivia sued for peace later in the war.

Argentina then focuses all troops on Brazil, and they later sued for peace humiliated. After annexing Paraguay and Uruguay, they create a federation in the Union of La Plata.

(It's also told after German victory in the war, Argentina invaded, and annexed the Falklands, helping relations with the German superpower)

There were still problems, as Falklanders, Paraguayans, and Uruguayans are not given full rights as Argentinians, and they don't feel connected with the Federation. Bolivia also started to rearm, and Brazil's progressives are promising to bring back glory to Brazil.

So, is there anything wrong with this in Kaiserreich? And if so, how can you make La Plata a reality in our history?

An expansionist Argentina is not impossible, I suppose, especially if it breaks from its traditional British ties and aligns with the German superpower. The reunification of the old Viceroyalty of La Plata under role from Buenos Aires, with the Falklands too, is certainly one imaginable end state.

Is there any type of POD to get that too happen, or does it occur gradually?

But does this timeline as depicted in Kaiserreich make sense, or is realistic?

Kaiserraich, from what I know as a non-player, does not seem inherently implausible. Frankly, the general shift of the world order towards one marked by greater radicalism ad militarism makes this sort of Argentine irredentism plausible enough to me.

Yeah, I thought the POD made sense, but I was talking about the Lore South America.

Part of my question was also if there is a plausibility to create La Plata in our timeline, without A German victory to do so.

You would need a reversion of early 20th century South America towards full-scale war, and I'm not sure that would be possible to arrange. The fighting that occurred did not involve the ABC powers, but rather encompassed only relatively minor states (Paraguay and Bolivia, or Peru and Ecuador). What could make the quiet rivalries between the big powers explode into full conflict?

Well, in the Kaiserreich world only involved Brazil fighting Argentina, but the C power of Chile didn't get involved.

But your right, it is really difficult to get that to happen. South America hasn't been known to have major scale conflicts like that in Europe or Asia. I'm not too sure on how to do such a thing, but the whole war happened over Bolivia trying to annex Paraguay for resources, is there a way that could happen?

Actually, it seems not even the Kaiserreich devs could find a plausible POD for this, since La Plata is apparently going to be broken up in the next update.

Wait Really? So it'll just make South America as boring as everyone calls it in vanilla HOI4? How exactly will this break up La Plata be like? Could you send me like a Link of how it's gonna happen?

There hasn't really been a full update about it yet, it's just been mentioned in passing by some devs on Reddit and Discord. u/TheBlackWinds_ replies to u/Alectron45 in this thread are the best summary I could find. Basically, the main points are:
-Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay are now separate countries. Idk if the Chaco War still happened, but it's escalation into a continent-wide war certainly didn't.
-Brazil is still unstable, but it's because they're recovering from a civil war rather than a war with Argentina. Don't think it's been said what the civil war was over yet. It seems they'll be keeping most of their paths and getting some new ones, including a "less unicorny republican one".
-Argentina is a natpop regime under Manuel Carlés.
-Chile still starts out syndicalist, and is funding leftist rebels in Patagonia. Obviously there's gonna be a lot of tension between them and Argentina.

I don't think it's necessarily gonna make South America more boring. It's just that the main conflict will be Argentina v. Chile with Brazil as a wild card, and you'll actually have to go to war to make Greater Argentina a thing.

I'm all for the realism of it, like if it's realistic, I don't want to be feed fake information, but I'm kinda sad that La Plata is taken out. Sure you can just annex them, but I think this draws attention away from South America. If it basically stays unchanged (To the average HOI4 player) People aren't gonna play in South America, which I really want, because it's really underrated.

Disregarding KR for a sec, I think Argentina/La Plata has huge potential to become a South American great power. Perhaps not rivaling the US, but maybe to act as a counterbalance. Especially if you somehow get Chile in there as well somehow. A united Southern Cone could have big population and has the potential for industrialization by the end of the 19th century at the latest.

La Plata was contrived for the sake of giving South America something to do, but now they're to think of ways that are more realistic than "Argentina and Brazil get into a war for some reason and they just happen to send their armies through Paraguay and Uruguay and annex them along the way."

Re-forming Gran Colombia or re-establishing the Empire of Brazil are both things you can do in the game, so it's not like there aren't other wacky player ambitions to undertake.

The war of the triple alliance was more or less that though...
