AHC: Make both Roosevelts President for 4 terms each, and both as Republicans.

With a POD after 1900, have both Teddy and FDR as President for 4 Presidential terms each. They don't have to be consecutive terms, and they don't have to serve all 4 terms in full. Also, have them both do it as Republicans for the entire time they are President.

The first is easy. Just have Teddy run in 1908 and 1912, or somehow get him 1912 (if he's not a jerk to Taft, there's a good chance he can get Taft to step down for him, hence Teddy runs as a Republican and doesn't go independent) and then subsequently 1916. The problem now is FDR, because you've just affected his 4 Term OTL presidency, or anything resembling it, with butterflies. I have no clue how to manage FDR as a Republican.

My idea was to either have Teddy unseat Taft, or have Taft step down, so Teddy gets the Republican nomination in 1912. Then have Champ Clark get the Democratic nomination that same year. Teddy wins in a landslide in 1912 bringing in a bunch of progressive Republicans to Congress with him, and wins by a decent margin in 1916. Maybe he dies in office in 1919, or he serves all the way to the end of his term, but he's not on the ticket in 1920 or after.

Then have a Democrat, possibly Wilson, win in 1920. But have him die in office like Harding did, and have his VP be a conservative Democrat (at least as far as Wall Street is concerned). Then have Wall Street approved Democrats in office during the roaring 20's and at the start of the Great Depression. Then in 1932, we get FDR.

But I still don't know how to get FDR into the Republican party. He first ran for office as a Democrat in 1910. Maybe if Teddy and the progressives get control of the Republican party in 1912 he could convince FDR to switch. But I'm not sure.

There is a problem with this. TR's Oyster Bey Roosevelts have always been Republicans and FDR's Hyde Park Roosevelts have always been Democrats. Therefore the only to get FDR to be a Republican is to have him be born in or near Oyster Bay.
