AHC: Make Australia an Islamic country

If anyone is familiar with the Pacific region, you would know that there are at least three Islamic or Islamic-influenced countries near the vicinity of Australia. Indonesia (a secular country that has the largest population of Muslims and a province named Aceh which follows sharia law), Brunei (A Islamic nation that follows sharia law) and Malaysia (A country whose state religion is Islam and 61.3% of the population is Islamic and has two justice systems-one of which is sharia)

Australia, on the other hand, is a majority Christian country whose Islamic population is very small (2.6%).

That leads me to my challenge.

Change history in such a way that Australia is a Islamic country.

But how do you define a 'Islamic country''?

Well, for the purposes of this challenge, we will be using the three aforementioned countries as a kind of example of what Australia could be like in regards to the designation of a 'Islamic country'?

1. It could be a secular country with a large Muslim population (Indonesia) (larger than 2.6%, obviously)

2. It could be a country that follows sharia law to the letter. (Brunei)

3. A country that has Islam as it's state religion and is influenced by Islam, but is not as strict as Saudi Arabia or Brunei and has two justice systems (Malaysia).

To make it easier, I will also settle for making some parts of Australia influenced by Islam and some influenced by other religions (such as Christianity).

Playing fast and loose; DEI has a foothold on the continent, and employed lots of workers from Nusantara. Decolonization comes, the new government of Indonesia takes hold of the Australian territory.

Retain a more Aboriginal North Australia that's religious practices have a more pronounced and recognized Islamic presence.

Walitha'walitha as a a more fleshed out figurehead in Aboriginal Cosmology forms earlier and spreads with a Malayo-Aboriginal cultural continuum from a mixed race "base" in Northeast Arhemland and spreads in a culturally creole populace escaping smallpox and other diseases in a downward and eastward expansion.

OTL the communities there had a concept of Europeans (Balanda), guns, and other technologies that could have them at an advantage against European imperialists/colonists.

Australia would still be conquered, but an even "blacker" Northern Territory and Queensland that can withstand Christian missionary interests to present day.
