AHC: Make 2000s Edmonton Oilers Into Dynasty Or Perennial Powerhouse

Your AHC: using any PODs at any time, turn the 2000s Edmonton Oilers into a dynastic team a la 20 years prior--or, as is probably more realistic post-lockout, a perennial heavyweight that always contends for the Cup (i.e. late 1990s/early 2000s Avalanche, late 90s-2000s Red Wings, late 2000s/early 2010s Penguins, 2010s Hawks, etc.). :D

I suspect that it will take more than keeping Pronger after 2006--how much more, I'm not sure. Getting him and Roloson earlier on might help a whole lot. IIRC, during the Cinderella run that would have given Edmonton a sixth Stanley Cup if not for Roloson's untimely injury (inflicted by his own teammate), Roli was 35. He didn't have a whole lot of prime years left. The same was true of a whole lot of vital players like Smyth, Peca, and the like. Pisani (single biggest scorer in 2006) was crippled by ulcerative colitis shortly thereafter.

Bonus points if Edmonton actually gets a Cup--mega bonus points if more than one like Chicago, Los Angeles, etc.
