AHC: Macbeth, conquerer of England

What's the goal here - to place Macbeth on the English throne? Even if you somehow managed to succeed, the dispute between his heirs in Scotland (via tanistry?) and England would tear the realm apart soon after.

It says that it could be split up as well.

The aftermath of Macbeth's death doesn't concern me.

Macbeth sitting on England's throne would be ideal, but as I said in the OP, the schenarios I outlined in the OP are also acceptable.

It's extremely difficult for two reasons:

1) MacBeth has no legal claim to the English throne.
2) MacBeth does not have a sufficiently large or skilled army to take the throne by right of conquest, even if taking advantage of a civil war. Keep in mind he was not dethroned by the king of England, but Siward, earl of Northumbria and York.

I was under the impression that Siward was acting under orders from Edward the Confessor.

I was under the impression that it was solely Siward's forces involved (well, Siward's and Malcolm's), however, not the whole of England's army. I don't know the period that well though.

Me either, alas. I mainly made this thread to see what holes get punched in the scenario.
