AHC: longest Sengoku period

IOTL Sengoku Jidai lasted from c. 1467 - c. 1603. With a POD during the Nanboku-cho period, either push the period farthest possible into the modern era or extend it.
Bonus if it extends into the 1800s.

Stop being lazy and offer up some suggestions of your own first.

EDIT: And to explain why, you're asking people to participate in a discussion. A discussion that will probably entail a fair bit of research for those who probably don't have much if any familiarity with a period. And you are doing this without demonstrating that you have done any research of your own, or contributing any of your own thoughts or ideas. You're basically asking people to do research for you.
I'm sorry, did I offend you or something? The hell's with that attitude?
There must have been hundreds of AHCs, WIs and PCs with OPs shorter than what I wrote. Sure, it's dealing on a topic less well known. Then the best response would be to pass on, not to shit on it.

And those people, especially when they bump their own threads wondering why they get no response, should be given a similar answer, and usually are. There are tons of people on this board capable of discussing the sengoku era. It helps to offer your own ideas and not just ask people to post their own. This is one of those situations where it is encouraged to respond to your own post with another post with an attempt at an answer.

If you were actually trying to encourage me to be useful to the potential user who wants to answer the question, you started off at the wrong foot. If you are trying to be pretentious and pretend you don't need to either rephrase what was said earlier, you could walk off this thread right now.
