Well, if ATL offspring of Mary I took the throne, then it would stand to reason that there would be some English soldiers working for a Hapsburg king (or queen) of England, and I can't believe it would be implausible for such an army to garrison the English capital.

The Spanish Armada is victorious and the Spanish (which were Hapsburgs) Invade England. They don't even have to conquer it, just London.

During the Glorious revolution, William III is assisted by some troops from the Spanish Netherlands.

He already had Catholic troops from the (Southern) Netherlands who flew the Papal banner, so this is only taking it a small step further.
