How big can Australia realistically get?

The first POD would probably be New Zealand and Fiji joining Australia in 1901.

I’m sure it’s possible for Papua New Guinea and East Timor to join.

What other Polynesian islands could Australia gain?

In WW1 Australia could gain the entirety of German New Guinea which included the Caroline Islands, the Marshall Island, the Mariana Islands, Bismark Archipelago, Buka Island and Bougainville Island. Japan wouldn't be happy about that.

The Dutch could decide to transfer control of Dutch New Guinea to Australia instead of to the UN then Indonesia. Indonesia would be even more unhappy with the situation and would drift closer to the Soviets.
