AHC: Korea completely assimilated into China

I'm bored and have nothing to do better than to make worst case scenarios.
POD is fall of Goguryeo, but the more recent the POD the more bonus points you get.
AHC is Korea becomes completely assimilated to China by the present day, as a core province or Tibet/Xinjiang-like entity - ultimately forced to accept Chinese domination over the peninsula.

I'm dubious about Tang conquest PODs, mostly because the Song failed to hold on even to Vietnam.

A Ming conquest might work out better in terms of the AHC, or even a Qing conquest (preferably without imperialist Japan).

Maybe the Tang Dynasty refuses to help Korea in the Imjin War, then storms in during one of their scuffles with Japan?

Using the Song military capacity as a parallel to Tang capacity is a poor one. The Song dynasty at its height focused on more internal threats and used its vast economic base to fend off potential invasions. The Tang at its height was an expanding empire.

A Ming conquest might work out better in terms of the AHC, or even a Qing conquest (preferably without imperialist Japan).

But wouldn't that be too late since Korea already existed as a single ethno-linguistic polity for centuries at that point? I'd still say Silla being beaten by Tang is the highest possibility.
