AHC: Keep the mid-atlantic accent alive to the present

This was the accent that's familiar to most today from american newsreels and programs from the 30's and 40's and from a number of american actors and FDR etc.

However by the late 50's its prevalence seemed to drop greatly how can we keep this accent today?

No interstate highway system. The Appalachian dialects of my youth are heard less and less, and the highway system was a large part of the reason for the decline. The rise of television is IMO another factor, but what to do about that I'm not to sure.
