AHC: Keep the gold vs. silver issue (USA) going until 1933 or later

IIRC, the gold vs. silver issue died in 1900 with William Jennings Bryan's campaign of that year. However, with gold coins in circulation until 1933, standard silver dollars until 1935, and subsidiary silver until 1964, ISTM the controversy could have gone on. Your mission, if you accept it, is to keep the gold vs. silver issue alive in American politics to 1933, or of your POD butterflies away the Roosevelt gold confiscation, even later.

Already in 1900 it was probably a mistake for Bryan to raise the free-silver issue. Too much had happened in the preceding four years. With the cyanide process and the discovery of gold in the Klondike, Alaska, etc., gold production was increasing and the issue had simply become obsolete.
