AHC: Keep the Congressional Presidental Nominating Caucus

After not using, in the first three U.S. Presidental elections, any formal system of nominating their
Presidential & Vice-Presidental candidates, from 1800-1820 our two major parties used the following method: having caucuses of all of their Senators & Congressman pick the candidates. This procedure utterly collapsed in 1824 & was not revived. Instead it was replaced by national
conventions, which of course have been used ever since. OK, here's the AHC:
Figure out a way to keep the Congressional Caucus going longer, maybe even to our own time(but
keep in mind that the longer the Caucus survives, the more likely it is that the U.S. will evolve into
something @ least partially resembling a Parliamentary system of government).
