Hello Everyone, with this being Avengers Endgame week, I have been thinking alot about the possibilities for Warner Bros/DC had in the past decade to potentially rival or be the leader of the modern comic book film franchise phenomena. With numerous false starts(ehem, Green Lantern), reactionary resets (Suicide Squad) and aggressive studio interference(Justice League), DC after the success of Aquaman and Shazam now in 2019 feel as if they have a solid direction for the future of the franchise. But did that have to be the case? What if the writer-strike, and Australian Tax credit plagued Justice League Mortal, had managed to be shot and emerge as a crowning achievement in 2009? I know this is a huge if, given the tepid script https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4tilNmOgu5TRk9VMHU2QVdsaWc/edit . But lets say that after such achievement Warner Bros decided to launch solo films based on the characters presented in the Millerverse? How would this compete with a post Dark Knight Nolan trilogy? And is there a scenario that a reverse course DCEU could have had the nearly eleven years of success of that of the MCU?
