AHC: Italian pearl harbour

More carriers.

Flare droppers carry bombs?

Less bomb carriers and more torpedo carriers?

Skuas involved?

Cant find a direct link but if you google The attack at Taranto. Tactical Success, Operational Failure by Angelo N. Caravaggi

there are some interesting suggestions.

They did a pretty good job with what they had. The obvious ones would have been more Torpedo planes (ie more carriers), coordinated attack with RAF Wellingtons doing a low/medium altitude attack of the seaplane base and fuel tanks with a bit of light gardening in the main channel to try to catch anyone left able to make a run for it.

Has someone been reading Astrodragon's work?

Gone Fishin'
When I first saw the heading, I thought, "Was it over when the Italians bombed Pearl Harbor?"...

Here I was wondering how this could be spun into Italian colonization in the Pacific (which would require, almost certainly, a very pre-1900 POD).
