Th Experimental Airplane Project was only ever intended to be a proof-of-concept prototype for the Eurofighter Typhoon. Another disadvantage is that it looks like it was designed by a committee .... er .... looks like a collection of spare parts flying in formation.
Another disadvantage with the Eurofighter Typhoon is that the cockpit is so high above the Center of Gravity that pilots complain of neck problems caused by high lateral forces generated during rolling maneuvers.
That Supermarine Type 559 looks like a direct competitor for English Electric Lightning. They both look like dedicated, high altitude, long range interceptors.
However, to broaden sales our speculative Eurocanard needs to be multi-role (interceptor and ground attack) and ideally carrier capable.
A single-engined Rafale fits that description to a "T". Marcel Bloch/Dassault has built plenty of capable military and business aircraft over the years. His Falcon business is the prettiest in its class and all his military airplanes prove the maxim: "if it looks good, it flies good." To maximize the number of pylons, retract the UC straight forward or straight aft (like A10 Warthog).
This disadvantage of buying from Dassault is that they build most of the airplane in-house.
To improve sales to NATO you would need to farm out manufacturing to: BAE, CASA, MBB, Valmet, etc.
