AHC: Impeach Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson's authorship of the Kentucky resolutions was not exactly public knowledge in the late 1790s. Suppose that the origins of the resolutions are leaked by someone or another and Jefferson gets called out on it by the Adams administration for violating the Sedition Act? Could he be removed from office? This might be easier if the original language in the resolutions, which essentially called for Kentucky to secede from the union, remains intact and Jefferson is found out.

Alternatively, Jefferson was apparently consulting with French nationals during the Quasi-War without Adams' knowledge and actively encouraged France to invade Britain, among other things. This, combined with his attacks on Adams and attempts to secure a better deal for the French in a future Jefferson administration look like very definite violations of the Logan Act, which prevents unauthorized negotiations between a United States citizen and a foreign power.

So, is it possible to impeach Jefferson? What would follow such an impeachment?
