AHC: Hitler wins WWI

Robert Cowley pointed out in "What If?" that Hitler was likely at Gheluvelt. Have Hitler be the one that rallies the troops and presses on to a breakthrough that is followed up with German reserves in the area, resulting in the capture of the channel ports and the destruction of British Forces on the continent.

Have an armistice in the west result from that.

Best I got. This a good challenge.

Hitler is instead assigned to the foreign office as a dogsbody and loses the Zimmermann telegram, making him as "celebrated" as much as Stanislav Petrov is in OTL?

Trouble is that we would know what he did, but historians of this alt-TL probably would be skeptical that a single misplaced telegram kept the US from joining the allies until Too Late. There is a much clearer consequential link between Petrov calling in sick that day and disaster.
