AHC: Have a large-scale uprising against the Nazis succeed

Your challenge is to create a successful scenario in which a large-scale uprising similar to Warsaw succeeds, against the Nazis.

Any POD 1939 or after is OK.

Paris 1944 OTL:

The reality was that the Germans could just mass too much killing power against cities if they rose up to make it a viable task; arguably Warsaw would have succeeded if they had just waited for the Soviets to recover and make moves to start entering the city.

Yugoslavia more or less self liberated. I'd call that pretty successful.

That was only possible because the Soviet advance forced a pull-out though. The Germans basically ran rather then try to put down the uprisings because taking the time to do so would mean getting encircled when the Red Army showed up.

They also did see some direct Soviet assistance. Red Army forces participated in the liberation of Belgrade and Soviet liaisons were rapidly integrated into the partisan-turned-regular units so they could call upon Red artillery and air support.

But until well into 1944 the partisan army was operating on its own, they only had liaison officers as observers.

The Germans never had much of their own troops there a division or two. Most of the fighting was basically done by indigenous troops, Italians, Bulgarians.

So it could be said that it is basically a successful uprising.

Also there is Paris in 1944.

Another One

Naples, September 1943. As far as I recall reading, the town revolted ('The Four Days of Naples') against the Axis, once the Allies were ashore in mainland Italy and heading north.
It hampered considerably German plans to hold Naples against the Allies and/or to carry out demolition works in the city.
