AHC Greater Kazakh Empire

So basically, from 1400's to 1800's this large-ish Kazakh central Asian power would have significant influence ranging from Ukraine to Mongolia, and would be Turkic, not Russian, Iranian, or any other previously inhabiting central Asian peoples.

I don't know. Kazakhstan is kind of in the middle of nowhere, and for what little I know, mostly nomadic and not a whole lot of people. For it to have any actual influence and expansion beyond its already considerable area would require Russia to be non-existent. Having Russia as its neighbour is like a noose being tightened by successive Tsars.

That's kind of the point. OP wants a Kazakh empire to be among the last nomadic empire, like the Dzungars (who also bordered Russia). Russia was not that significant until the late 18th century.

If the Uzbeks never united southern Central Asia maybe you could see a Kazakh empire.
