AHC: Give Spain a Bonapartist King after the Glorious Revolution of 1869

What if instead of Amadeo I of Spain, the Spanish General Courts made Jerome Bonaparte II (an American Bonapartists) as the King of Spain?

Given the memory of the "French War", no Bonapart could be a candidate to the spanish throne. It would cause a revolt as soon as the name is dropped.

Maybe it could work if you push Isabella II's disposition sooner, especially during the height of Napoleon III's power (late 1850's-early 1860's). I would recommend Prince Jerome Napoleon (1822-1891): He was married to a Princess of Sardinia-Piedmont, has serious liberal credentials, and a son (born in 1862).
