AHC: Get South Africa on the Axis Powers.

Probably an outbreak of a severe mentally debilitating illness among the South African diplomatic corps.

You could have the Boers win the Boer War then the Union of South African Boer Republics join the Nazis in the Second World War. They'd probably invade British South Africa, aiming for key cities and ports. Kriegsmarine submarines would have a place to resupply.

How would they win the Boer War? I mean they were facing Britain in it's prime.

Opinion? How the hell is the Boers winning in South Africa going to affect World War One and World War Two?

Britain got beat by freaking farmers with rifles. Their pride is going to so hurt they're going to be itching to fight against someone to show how awesome they are. Germans are probably going to lose anyway and Hitler is going to take over.

How would they win the Boer War? I mean they were facing Britain in it's prime.

Don't ask me how, just accept the fact that it happens.

They were fighting a defensive action and did so with great skill and efficiency. It ultimately took the combined resources of the British Empire to defeat them and involved a shocking scorched Earth strategy that alienated public opinion throughout continental Europe and America and the casualty rate was the highest in the history of the British Empire and appalled the English public. It is not inconceivable for Britain to have been forced by international and home opinion to accept a negotiated settlement. A Boer victory would not however have altered the fact that Cape Colony and Natal would have remained British.

Such a settlement though, giving Orange and Transvaal independence or internal autonomy as Dominions would not have put them in the Axis however; the Boar’s identified themselves strongly with the Dutch, not the Germans.

Considering the implausibility of the OP, why not get full blown German support for the Boers during the 2nd Boer War? After all, Kaiser Wilhelm II did send down a couple shipments of Mausers and a congratulatory Kruger telegram IOTL. That's a bit more plausible than getting a staunchly British dominion to take up arms against the entirety of the Allied Powers.

A more prolonged Boer War could have delayed or prevented the Entente Cordiale entirely, drastically changing the circumstances of the approach of World War One.

Well there were the more radical elements of the country that were sympathetic to Hitler's idealogy... but they stood as little chance of getting in power as say Mosley in Britain.

You could concievably keep South Africa non-belligerant, but even then they'd be favoring the Allies in trade and probably port rights.
