AHC: Get Britain to Join the Central Powers During WW1

France has a better railway network connecting the center with the north.

WW1 begins as OTL, but the French launch the first attack through southern Belgium and the Germans are caught slightly off balance, fighting around Liege, but are slowly pushed back and have to fight both the Russians and French, with the latter being the more dangerous of the two.

Britain is annoyed at Belgian neutrality being broken and that the French/Russians appear to be winning, France makes territorial demands including large parts of the Rhineland because it believes it may win.

The Netherlands and Ottomans join in on the German side by mid-1915, then the British do to support their interests.

Maybe I missed something, but the Germans being ground down by the French seems a little unbelievable, OTL they fought the French and British to a standstill while beating Russia handily, if it's just France and Russia, I don't think the Germans will be doing that badly unless they make some monumental cock-ups.

IIRC an Anglo-German alliance was quite close with Chamberlain at the head of the British effort but von Bülow stalled the talks, thinking that by waiting longer Britain would be more vulnerable and put Germany in a better position.... after all it's not like the British are going to reverse some 800-ish year of foreign policy and ally with France :D

So simply have von Bülow less inclined to wait and Britain may join the Triple-Alliance

You can make it more certain if you have no big German naval build-up as your POD as well

Britain has to be allied to Germany as per the OP.

Russia sinks British fishing boats in the North Sea in 1904 as the Baltic Fleet passes to Japan.

Great Britain makes a series of demands that Russia rejects.

The British fleet destroys the Russian Baltic Fleet off the coast of Spain.

Russia declares war on Great Britain.

France declares war on Great Britain.

Germany declares war on Russia and France opportunistically.

So on one side you have Britain, Germany and the Austrohungarians (and the Japanese, though they wouldn't be actual allies, merely co-belligerents), on the other France and Russia. Given how the Russo-Japanese went OTL, I can easily see Germany gaining much of Congress Poland since the Tzar now has to split his forces.

Also, that's not WW1

Unlikely. Britain would have pressured Belgium to permit the French to pass thru.

Unlikely, the French would have put a lot of pressure on the Russians to accept any terms the British make. The overall goal of the French is the Anglo-French Entente.

SirCliveWolfe, the UK allying with France after so long? Gadzooks, my good fellow...what kind of idea could that be?

Here's an idea: the Germans never build up a large navy, deciding to remain a merely continental power (maybe Kaiser Bill sees some dashing soldiers rather than pretty boats as a child?). France decides it needs a bigger navy as Japan flexes its muscles, the entente cordiale never happens. With the Franco-Russian-(possibly) Italian alliance as Britain's continental bad guy, when the tinderbox fires she wades in with the Germans.
