AHC: Germany, Italy, Hungary, and Poland as Dominant Colonial Empire

So the challenge is to make Germany, Italy, Hungary, and Poland have Global Empires as large as OTL Britain, France, Spain, and Portugal in 17th - 19th century, while Britain, France, Portugal, and Spain themselves only minor colonial powers (just like Germany and Italy in OTL).
In addition, make German, Italian, Hungarian, and Polish dominant languages in America.
Is this too implausible...?

I think that the words you're looking for is "too impossible" rather than too implausible. :p

Ah sorry for that...English isn't my first language, actually... :D
Btw what is the difference between 'implausible' and 'impossible'...?
Implausible means that it is extremely unlikely for something to happen. It's not plausible, but it's possible.
Impossible means that it something cannot happen; it is not possible.

His response was sarcastic and he is saying that your idea is impossible. EDIT: And I somewhat agree.

I could see Germany and Poland if the German reconquest of the Brandenburg area doesn't take place and Poland controls all the south Baltic coast and maybe Denmark, while Germany expands west to encompass the Low Countries. But I'm not sure how to get Hungary or Italy to have decent access to the Atlantic.

Italy doesn't need the Atlantic if it has Egypt and builds the Suez Canal

Hungary with Croatia has access to the sea, but might stand a better chance if they make gains in the Balkans - more successful crusades falling just short of conquest of Constantinople perhaps

Habsburgs don't marry with Spanish kings and stay focused on Burgundy and Germany, eventually creating a German kingdom stretching from Boehemia to the Netherlands. England remains under House of York and wastes time fighting the French, so the Germans take the momentum in colonization.

A crusade taking advantage of an Ottoman civil war allows for Hungarians to create some puppet states in the Middle East and the Venetians to puppetize and later colonize Egypt, to later expand into India. Later, Venice unifies most of Italy. With welath flowing in Italy, both Florence and Genua try to find new markets not controlled by Venice and end up settling colonies in America, taking the natives under suzerainity.

Poland defeats Russians and Turks, partitioning the area with Swedes, who are allied due to a post-Charles V's Habsburg like "double-dinasty", and go eastward, eventually building a Uber-Poland stretching to Siberia and Alaska !

So, you have a divided Italy superpower, Poland which gobbles up Russia, creates Canada and probably is the world superpower :D, and United States of New Germany on the North Eastern Coast ! I don't know how Hungary could control something in the new world, but the idea of Hungarian oil bosses toppling regimes in the Middle East is cool :D

True. But the Suez channel will probably be a later achievement. Even without it, though, Italy could start its colonizing efforts from Egyptian ports on the Red sea. But altogether this should prevent Italy from being an early colonial power, particularly in America.

The same holds for Italy as well, which could go for Greece, Albania, Cyprus and the Levant.

The problem is that both Hungary and Italy are restricted to the Med. The Suez channel is an option - bot only for one of them. And Hungary has the additional problem that the Adriatic is easily blockaded by Italy. I'd therefore suggest Hungarian Thessaloniki, which opens more sealines for Hungarian colonizers. Korfu would nevertheless likely be hardly contested between these two.

I like the idea of Hungary as the leader of victorious crusaders, creating vassals in the Middle East and spreading their influence that way :)

Venetian Egypt also sounds cool

Simple: Genghis Khan dies of a heart attack in the midst of his Central Asian campaign, saving Hungary from a bloody death and Poland from a nationwide rapathon.

The geography simply prefers Britain, France, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands, because they have open access to the Atlantic. And then there's the problem that Germany and Italy were politically splintered for a long time.

As said, it would help if these countries controlled one of the "exits" of the inner seas - Gibraltar or an earlier Suez canal for the Med, the Sund for the Baltic. Hungary, if they have Croatia, would also need Albania or Southern Italy to avoid getting restricted to the Adria.

Interesting...I'm not even thinking about the Mongols when make a challenge about Poland and Hungary...
One question, though...what would be the butterflies that caused by the lack of Mongol invasions, to both Poland and Hungary...? Were the butterflies really so big, so that Poland and Hungary could become a big colonial powers...?

Italy could maybe be a dominant colonial power, since of those countries, it has the best access to the Oceans. Poland and Hungary are mostly land-locked, and Germany is only a bit better than they are. Plus, eastern and central EUrope haven't been the most stable countries throughout history, so that might be a problem as well.

Hmm, this scenario sounds good enough for me... :p
Now our problem is how to keep England, France, Spain, and Portugal from America...
Someone have any idea...?

Since it's already somwhat asb, why not turn it up to eleven?

Germany somehow conquers France, Italy somehow conquers some parts of southern France and also Spain and Portugal, Poland conquers parts of northern Germany and also the Netherlands and Hungary conquers everything from its capital to the red sea. (the weapon of choice are probably catapults that fling excrements of alien space bats).
So now they all have good positions to start colonizing.
France, Spain and Portugal are gone. The British isles splinter into a lot of different warring states which don't have time and money for colonization.

Thoughts?

Don't be a party popper.

Simply use Muslims to take out Spain and Portugal, this über-Germany to sort out France, and a lack of Normans to make England more concerned with the rest of the Isles to care about the New World.
