AHC: German-American president in the Late 19th/Early 20th Century

Pretty simple AH challenge here; get a member of one of the US's largest and most significant minorities into the presidential seat before the point where WW1 started in OTL.
 
How German are we talking, because this says that there have been seven German-American Presidents of the United States.

From that list, Frederick Muhlenberg sounds promising. The first House Speaker sounds like someone you could imagine winning the Presidency at some point.
