AHC:Flip the script! (or the ticket rather)

Ok so here is the challenge. Take any presidential ticket, and flip it. Make the VP the Presidential candidate and demote the pres to VP. Choose any you like, even a losing ticket.

Exp: Bentsen/Dukakis '88. The elder statesman could have easily been considered a contender for the presidential nomination that year.

How about...

Johnson Kennedy 1960
Agnew/Nixon 1968
Shriver/McGovern 1972
Mondale/Carter 1976
Ferraro/Mondale 1984
Gore/Clinton 1992
Cheney/Bush 2000
Edwards/Kerry 2004
Pence/Trump 2016

2016: Kaine/Clinton vs. Pence/Trump

Kaine easily wins this. Pence will look like a fool for taking Trump as his running mate, and he himself would have to explain a lot of his anti-LGBT stances. Kaine is well-liked and doesn't have a lot of the baggage that Clinton does.

2012: Biden/Obama vs. Ryan/Romney

Biden takes this easily. He has decades of experience on Ryan and trounced him in the debates in OTL.

2008: Biden/Obama vs. Palin/McCain

Again, I think Biden takes this because of how moronic Palin showed herself to be.

2004: Edwards/Kerry vs. Cheney/Bush

I give this one to Cheney. Edwards has a few skeletons in his closet and Bush and Cheney would still have support for the war.

What about Lieberman/Gore vs. Cheney/Bush in 2000?

1980: George H.W. Bush wins the nomination and picks runner-up Ronald Reagan as his running mate. Bush, with his calm demeanor and pledges to make the tax rate more reasonable, defeats a beleaguered Carter and wins again in 1984. The tax cut of 1986 never happens or is reduced. However, if there's Iran-Contra, it may lead to his impeachment. If he's acquitted, he finishes out his term and Reagan gets beaten in 1988; if he's removed, Reagan does mop-up duty but is hopelessly overwhelmed and declines to run in 1988.

Biden/Obama defeat McCain/Palin in 2008 by a decisive margin due to the Iraq war and the financial crisis, and defeat the 2012 Republican nominee Congressman Paul Ryan and his running mate Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, winning the same states that they won in 2008. With an economy still growing (stronger than OTL) and relative stability abroad, Vice President Barack Obama and his running mate Tim Kaine defeat Indiana Governor Mike Pence and his running mate Businessman Donald Trump.
