AHC: Fix Latin America For The Better Prior To Its Independence

the Spanish Bourbons were trying to flee the country, like the Portuguese Bourbons did a few months earlier. Unlike the Portuguese, though, who lived on the coast, and could just hop on board a ship and sail away, the Spanish Bourbons had to cross country to a port. en route, the populace got wind of what they were doing and captured Godoy and detained the royal family. Charles capitulated to save Godoy, and probably his own neck. From that point on, Spanish Bourbons had no opportunity to escape.

Increased immigration definitely does help the colonies. Though it could mean that more areas of the Americas could be Spanish-controlled. I see Pampas and Patagonia going down this path but the southern regions of the U.S.? How far could they go? Georgia? South Carolina?

It would be very hard for these changes to exist at the start of colonization. It seems that the discovery of gold and silver would make Latin America what it is today. Increased settlement could possibly help diversify, right?

Also how would culture be affected with so many European migrants? Would it still have the distinct blend of African, European, and Native American cultures or would it be European-based?

It would still be blended with European culture forming the dominant 'base' of the culture, just like OTL.
