AHC: Elvis and JFK

Your job is to make this picture a reality. But, Elvis must still be an entertainer and JFK has to be President.

I remember a collection of short stories. "Alternate Kennedy's" where Jack, Bobby, and Teddy perform at the White House for President Elvis. The same collection had Winterberry in which a surviving JFK lives in secret seclusion at Hyannis and another where a surviving Joe Kennedy is the assasin in the Book Depository

Kennedy '68 is an easy enough scenario. JFK would not go in for the drug culture, although he would not be the law and order draconian with shades of the apocalypse that Nixonian Conservatives were.

Simple- Elvis drops in on JFK during the
summer of 1961 in order to help rally public opinion to the government's side during a
difficult period of the Cold War. With the
Prez standing by his side, & the TV cameras
rolling, Elvis(of course reading from a script
written for him by Tom Parker)declares that
as a citizen of the world's greatest country,
he had been proud to serve his country
earlier in the army, & that he hopes that all
American citizens will follow his example &
support America. JFK gets some big head-
lines & Elvis gets priceless publicity & some
respectability(there is he with the President
himself!)to boot. Everyone is happy.
