AHC: Early dissolution of the HRE

Definitely we would require Bohemian victory at the White Mountain.

Not necessarily. Later devastating defeats for the Hapsburgs might work as well.

Christian IV during the Danish part of the war very much worked inside the imperial framework and aspired a permanent leading position in the imperial circle of Lower Saxony, plus a few prince-bishoprics. He would not destroy the HRE as an institution, IMO.

Gustav Adolf was more ambitious. Some sources indicate that he would have liked to become the first protestant emperor. This would probably mean the split into a Lutheran and a Catholic "empire" with the Calvinist areas going their own way (like the Netherlands and Switzerland did in OTL).

One possibility might be an stronger French effort after the Peace of Prague in 1635, if the Hapsburg sice becomes overeager again.

But in general I have big trouble with the idea of the HRE completely disappearing at the time. In the mid-1600s it was very much a thing in idealistic terms.
