going a bit off the obvious PoDs ... Napoleon dies (or is crippled) in the failed french assault in La Maddalena on Sardinia in 1793 (his first battle experience, states Wikipedia)...
Butterflies the Napoleonic wars, which butterflies parts if not all of Congress of Vienna, in which Denmark was argubly the harshest hit country on the losing side, losing the navy (which was a major part of the Danish military), and Norway ... This would mean that Denmark would have much more access to military and money both in the Scheswig wars and in the colonization race, where Denmark would probably be number 6 in protential strength (after, in no specific order, Britain, France, Spain, Portugal and Netherlands) ... certainly able to grab some prime estate a couple of places ... then its just a question of 'striking gold' so to speak, grabbing the right bits out of the sack
