AHC: Culturally Czech country outside of Europe

Exactly what it says in the title, how can we get a country outside of Europe to be culturally Czech, with the Czech language, and preferably a majority of ethnic Czech people among the population. I realize this is incredibly unlikely, so whatever you can come up with is welcome, so long as the PoD is after the year 1000 A.D./C.E.

The first obvious step would be giving the Czechs sea access. If they control Bohemia and Silesia (doable), they're quite strong. It would be relatively simple to beat up Brandenburg and Pomerania at some point to gain control of the entire course of the Oder, and now it's just a matter of finding someplace to colonize. It would be slightly harder to gain a corridor reaching Trieste, but not impossible - they managed it in OTL at some point, I think. And now it's a simple matter of grabbing the sparsely populated Libya (or some part of it), which isn't far at all. A bit of settlement and ta-daa, Czech Libya.

The first thing that actually came to mind was that Shakespearean play that refers to the "Coast of Bohemia." If we use that (probably ASB) timeline the play was set in, this becomes far more doable.

More realistically, something that might be slightly plausible would be the possibility of Czech religious minorities fleeing across the ocean similar to the flight of English religious dissidents to the colonies. Perhaps a much stronger Hussite and then Protestant movement, the Hapsburgs somehow establish a colony somewhere, and they eventually decide to encourage their troublesome population to move overseas?

It's rather a stretch though.

Catholic Austrians totally beat up the Protestant Czech during the reformation and they flee to the New World? (probably a bit ASB :D )

Bit of a darker-toned solution here...

The Nazi's win WW2 decisively, and proceed to pursue their Lebensraum through ethnic cleansing of Slavic peoples including Czechs. My recollection of these plans is that the Nazi's planned to assimilate a certain percentage of various Slavic groups, but felt that the remainder would have to be "removed".

Now they could just go with the good ol' concentration camp solution there, but Slavs are a whole lot more numerous then Jews and Gypsies are/were, and the Germans have greater sympathy for them. So instead they start a program of relocation into Siberia/Central Asia, with each ethnic group getting it's own sector/s.

So there you have it: majority Czech country/ies in Asia. Won't be much more then Bantustans initially, but the Germans probably loosen their grip as time passes. Or maybe not, they could just as easily spiral deeper and deeper until they're at North Korean levels of Dystopian autocracy. Either way that sort of meets the terms of your challenge I think?

If anyones offended by this for any reason, I apologize in advance.

There is another oportunity - after World War I, Czechoslovak government was interested in some of the former German colonies and wanted to claim some of them (I know about Togo for sure, but there might have been others). The idea did not succeed in the end, but if you give it a little push and find a suitable POD, you might make it work (plus it would be great if Czechoslovakia had sea access). From there, it's a simple matter of introducing enough colonists and enough influence to create an African state with Czech language and Czech culture.

The Moravian church (which was the descendants of the Hussites) was active starting in the 18th century founding missions throughout the world. The liturgical language of the Moravians had switched to German, but at least some of the core of the church only left Moravia in the 1730s, so it's possible they were still in part Czech-speaking. They were active among Native Americans in the continental U.S., and later in Labrador and Australia.

I would suppose the easiest way to set up a "Czech" state was to have the missionaries not completely Germanized, and to not only bring the word of God, but also some of their families along. The resultant state might be at best a mixed society with a veneer of Czech language and custom, but I think it's possible.

1/. King Ottokar, last of the native (Presmylid?) dynasty, briefly controlled not only the Czech lands but also Austria, Styria, and possibly a bit of connected coastal terrritory at the northern end of the Adriatic too: Build on that foundation?

2/. Pan-Slavism leads to some Czech emigration from Hapsburg rule into the Russian Empire. After the revolution their main area of settlement is briefly granted ASSR status, but later on Stalin deports the whole lot to somewhere east of the Urals and then during the break-up of the Soviet Union their descendants somehow manage to get a [small?] district in which they predominate recognised as an at least semi-independent country.

3/. Part of the Czech Legion stays in eastern Siberia, running a puppet-state under Japanese 'protection'.

There are a lot of Czechs between Houston and San Antonio. With a different outcome to the Texas wars, a Czech colony could be established as a buffer between Mexico and Texas. It probably wouldn't be independent, but could be like the welsh colonies in patagonia.

How about a Czech Mennonite analogue? I don't know much about the Hussites, but would they be likely to establish closed enclaves in either North America or Australia?

Given how they established closed enclaves in Bohemia itself it actually doesn't seem too out there for the more radical taborites (the faction of the Hussites who established many of the enclaves) to go further if they can't ensure the safety of their community in Bohemia. The big issue would probably be more getting them there.
