AHC: Country Gets The Disco Treatment

I guess one (perhaps borderline ASB) possibility is that the genre becomes much more dominated by "outlaw country" and its cousins, and artists who attracted political controversy like the Dixie Chicks and Steve Earle are almost par for the course. Though if that happened, then probably a lot of the people who see country as unsophisticated and "red state" would instead like it or at least respect it, so I'm not sure that quite fits the bill of the disco treatment in the sense of almost everybody turning against it.

actually, country isn't so bad a genre. early 90's country wasn't so bad, including Billy Raye.
Artists like
Garth Brooks
Alan Jackson
Brooks and Dunn
Collin Raye
Vince Gill
Travis Tritt ( before he went too outlaw country)
Tim McGraw
Rebba
The Judds

Hell Garth is one of the best selling artists of all time

and Country has been getting the disco treatment by going too pop'ish and or bro-country or what ever it is now.. all genres evolve and take influences from around it. is the way it goes

Bro-country might be utter garbage, but there's a reason it existed to begin with. There's a lot of people in the South who enjoy rap music, and of course a lot of them enjoy country music too. Merge the two and you more or less have bro-country.

More African American and Latino country musicians in the future is pretty logical. And just tune to a local Spanish-language radio station--that music seems compatible with country music. Country music will just change with the times.
“Logical”? Seriously, “logical”?
