AHC: Conservative victory in 2001

Pretty much ASB- a majority like Blair's in 1997 simply doesn't get overturned in one term. I'd say you're pushing it to even have the Conservatives come out of the 2001 election with more than 190 seats.
 
It's extremely difficult. I suspect that you'd need to have Michael Howard win in the 1997 leadership election rather than William Hague, but that's before the PoD - and even then you're only getting a similar result to 2005 (Ken Clarke winning is highly unlikely given that a large majority of Tory MPs after 1997 were Eurosceptic).
