AHC Complete German unification

Which would be the best pre-1900 PoD (but not earlier than 1648) to make all German territories in Europe to be unified under the same state (no matter Empire or Republic)?

This must comprise:

- All German states (as in OTL German Empire in 1871)
- Austria (in the broadest possible sense; at least all Tirol and all Styria)
- (at least German) Switzerland

Extra points if comprises:

- Alsace-Lorraine
- Benelux
- Territories with German minorities in the Baltic or the Balkans

More successful Spring of Nations. The Magyars are victorious and the Prussian king accepts the imperial crown, forming the German Reich which includes Austria and Bohemia. Later on it expands into Switzerland, maybe dividing it between Germany, Italy and France.

What if the Prussian King accepts the Imperial crown but the Austrians still win out in Hungary?

I don't know about that. This is the 19th century. An unprovoked attack on an independent country and than annexing it (or most of it) is not something I expect to happen in these days. I think it would make Germany a pariah in Europe and it would probably mean that all neighbouring countries form an alliance against it. it would certainly create a hugh diplomatic victory for France. If Germany attack Switserland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and Denmark wouldn't trust Germany anymore and would quickly fall into the French sphere of influece. I doubt Britain and Russia would like it either and Italy might want parts of Germany too and possibly join France too. Germany would suddenly be very isolated.

Maybe Austria wins the 7YW, unites most of Germany in the 19th century, then annexes Prussia and Switzerland in the 20th century?

Taking Alsace-Lorraine seems almost inevitable, since there is no way France is just going to sit back and watch this happen.

Austria in the broadest sense? What do you mean by "broadest sense"? The pre-1867 Austrian Empire? Or just German-speaking parts of the empire? And what does German-speaking mean? Some German dialects were probably closer to Dutch than to Standard German.

Edit: OK, I see that you do not exclude Benelux.
