AHC Cold War between USA and Great Britain

So obviously in our timeline the Cold War which was borne from the climatic events of WW2 was defined by the political hostility and polarity between two great nations.

With a point of divergence after 1900 can you create an environment which is defined by two world superpowers, The USA and Great Britain? Not only this, these two super powers who are at the zenith of scientific, economic and military development on Earth must be engaged in a “Cold War”.

In your alternative narrative how is it possible that other political behemoths such as France, Russia and China are not considered super powers and how is it possible that two allies in our timeline are so intrinsically hostile towards each other?

1. No Russo-Japanese War, so that the Anglo-Japanese Alliance remains a cornerstone of British foreign policy in Asia against a seemingly more imposing Russia. Getting Japan to explicitly guarantee the northern border of Raj with expeditionary corps at the ready and training in Indian continent with the British forces there on a regular basis.
2. No Entente, France and Britain remain at odds.
3. Lukewarm, not outright hostile Anglo-German relations.
4. Foreign policy situation that still leads to a major and bitter shooting war between two continental alliance blocks (say, France and Russia vs. Germany and Austria-Hungary)
5. British foreign policy that allows them to play the two blocs against one another while securing Belgium.
6. More strained relations between US and UK in Central and Southern America.
7. Different inter-Empire policies so that Australia and New Zealand are more eager to promote the alliance with Japan.
8. More conflict regarding Open Door policy in China.
9. Different internal political situation in the US - more jingoist foreign policy and willingness to challenge the British "informal empire" in Southern American markets.

After the war in Europe Mitteleuropa is in constant turmoil. German society is torn, as the old autocracy tries to hold on against the embittered working class parties that are increasingly revolutionary.
France has been soundly defeated, bitter towards Britain, Germany and Russia, and caught up in massive colonial projects where she seeks in vain to restore her lost glories. Former Russian Empire resembles 1930s China, with various regional groups fighting for power. Austria-Hungary . The Ottomans are internally divided and weak, and British companies are busily exploiting the petrochemical wealth of Arabia. With only two major international power and trade blocs left, tensions are slowly building up despite (or because of?) shared historical origins.
