AHC: Build a large Air Force for a Sub-Saharan African nation

OOC: Mods I hope this is okay to post here if not just let me know and I will delete this thread then.

It's been a while since I posted anything on here but I thought of something this week and I wanted to post this on here. What is the most ironic thing about myself is that I love numbers but I am terrible at math as well. Looking at the statistics of the number of aircraft in a nation's air force is something that I find interesting because it can give us a perspective of how large its air force is and how much of a defense industry a country has.

I was thinking of an AHC for Sub-Saharan Africa.

AHC: Build one of the largest air forces in Sub-Saharan Africa. Maybe have Nigeria or another major potential African power in the region that it possessions a large air force that easily is around the size of the Egyptian Air Force in OTL.

I think South Africa had a large air force at one time.

Off the top of my head, it will have to be one of the larger countries. A country with troublesome neighbors (enemies and/or countries that are unstable). Make it a country that wants to be a regional power, or even a continental power. Add in domestic trouble in the form of terrorists and/or rebels. The country needs small and large transport planes, dedicated ground attack planes, fighters, dedicated surveillance planes, and trainers of course. Oh, and helicopters. There will also be maritime patrol planes, though those may be with the navy. I am going with the idea this country will have a smaller proportion of its air force being high performance jet fighters than Egypt.

To make this even easier, have China or another outside power be that country's patron.

Possible countries: Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Angola?, Tanzania?.
