AHC: British/League of Nations intervention in Manchuria, 1931

There aren't very many international forces that are well placed enough to intervene. Considering how far inland the Japanese are, naval bombardment is out of the question, and I think the closest international force would be the US "China" Marines stationed in Peking.

Trying to land forces by sea at northern ports would be difficult as they are in Japanese hands, and presumably the IJN would have the area locked down to prevent any landings.

More importantly...... The Lytton Report gave Japan the loophole to continue holding onto Manchuria. If any influential people had bothered to recognize that loophole, we might actually see the League recognizing the occupation.
