Something that I have always found kind of interesting about the history of Canada is that Nova Scotia briefly acted as a hub of African Canadian life before these people were shipped over to Sierra Leone. I was thinking how significant could Nova Scotia's black population become and how would that effect the relationship with the rest of British North America.
My best guess of how to get the ball rolling would be for Canadian Rebellion during and after the American Revolution to become more successful, this could convince the British to leave these new Loyalist settlers be as a means of ensuring a bit more control over the colony. Over time mass movement to Sierra Leone becomes less and less feasible before it is abandoned all together, would that work?
