AHC: Biggest Romania Ever

This is probably an ASB challenge, but anyway...
Have the (Probably) Biggest Romania ever thought of:
I was thinking of OTL+Bessarabia, Bukovina, Serbian Krajina, the Banat, Hungarian Crisana, Hertza, Maramures, Southern Dobruja and possibly Transnistria?
Is it possible? Or can we have even a bigger Romania? Maybe just some of these regions? Or OTL is just the maxinum?

Maybe a worse russian civil war with no winner could let them grab more land there

This is pre-1900, so if you want the biggest possi9ble could Wallachie and some other lands merge into a Romanian Empire following a POD in the 1400s. Say the Ottomans are destroyed by Timor and the Balkans is otherwise demolished by others and Wallachia avoids their internal struggles, eventually growing into a massive kingdom; perhaps Bulgaria survives but their king has onlya daughter and the thrones merge then,e tc.

Or not? I would have to research where the name Romania came from.

Tough to say they'd get much more than WWI Romania.

Romania was something of a social and economic backwater, I don't see them being able to hold neighbors as subjects peoples for long (Serbs, Bulgars, Ukraine).

It is always possible they are near the center of a confederations (an eastern Habsburg-type Empire) with said peoples but I don't see how they'd dominate it and therefore make it a real "Romanian Empire".

They were largely a poor, lightly populated people outside of any real strategic area.

I do remember seeing a map of such a wtf massive Romania somewhere...ah, there it is:

To stretch plausibility a little more towards ASB territory, could a Greco-Bulgarian-Romanian union manage to oust the Ottomans from the Balkans and seize Istanbul?

What I can imagine is a Napoleon-like figure managing to do that and declare himself (or be acclaimed) Romanian/Eastern Roman Emperor. Chances are, however, this political entity would not survive his death or ouster.

Maybe a successful Mihai Viteazul coupled with a Ottoman collapse? Due to the death of the sultan just before or during Battle of Keresztes, or Mehmed III just leaving it.
It would establish a Romanian unified state in the 17th century, so it has a lot of time to grow.

That's exactly the extent i was saying.
Maybe the union between Moldova, Wallachia and Transilvania in 1600 survives, unites even more and conquers up the remaining lands?
I can see such a Romania to be the somewhat powerhouse of the Balkans, atleast if they "Romanize" the territories they have.

When allied to the Germans during WW2, didn't they temporarily not only regain Bessarabia but add a 'Transdnestria' of comparable size (not just the rest of Soviet 'Moldavia' but lands to its east, as far as the next river of comparable importance to the Dneister, too) as well?

Vlad Tepes pulling a Genghis Khan mood, unifying Romania and then conquering Balkans, Russia, Poland, Caucasus, Middle East and North Africa, in name of panslavism, ERE restoration, and eradication of Islam.

Naturally, in the bloodiest and violent way possible.
