I'm working on a timeline that involves an alternate 2016 election with lots of 3rd party candidates (even more so than in OTL). I'm trying to calculate how to pull out a Hillary win for this scenario, and I was wondering who would be a good 3rd party spoiler for Trump from the right wing (other than Johnson).
Also I've got a POD for this scenario that grants most of the candidates equal debate stage access, lots of funding, etc. to avoid the 3rd party pitfalls of OTL. So who are some possibilities in terms of pulling more conservative votes from Trump so Hillary can win the Electoral College? Romney? Kasich? What about Michael Bloomberg--would he pull more votes from Trump or Hillary?
I'm particularly concerned about making sure Hillary can carry the swing states in the Rust Belt, and possibly even Florida as well. Even if she can't directly appeal to factory workers who swung to Trump, who might have enough appeal in that region among Republican-leaning voters to prevent Trump from carrying those states?
