I noticed there weren't a lot of threads posted with this topic, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to ask this question. Which one of the recorded assassination attempts of Richard Nixon during his presidency had the most realistic chances of success (Arthur Bremer or Samuel Byck)? Or is it more likely that a different, unknown assassination attempt could have occurred?
I'd also like a brief synopsis as to what kinds of effects either assassination would have on history, both short-term and in the long run.
