AHC and WI: Ancien Regime Become a Stable Constitutional Monarchy?

(How many times has this been asked?)
You can either do away with the French Revolution, or have a very different one.

The PoD should be after the Treaty of Picquigny in 1475, which was the end of the Hundred Years' War.

A possible solution

I was thinking of a PoD during the French Wars of Religion (1560 or 1567)

It would lead to a Protestant France with a very large Catholic population. The resulting conflict of interests and power struggle between the two faithful groups will continue until the Guise Faction is eliminated, Henry IV is crowed a Protestant king of France, and the moderate Catholics demand an empowered Council of Nobles or considering the Aristocratic fascination with Protestantism, a stronger Estates-General. Which would be the beginning of a type of constitutional monarchy in France and have significant implications in other ways as well.

I will get back with this idea a bit more fleshed out but do you think it would be plausible?
