AHC and PC: Western Allies took Berlin and Tokyo at the same day

Okay...the challenge is this: make WWII ended by Western Allied invasions of both Germany and Japan, and then successfully occupying both Berlin and Tokyo, and both German and Japan governments ended up surrendering at exactly the same day. Thus making "V-E Day" (Victory in Europe) and "V-J Day" (Victory over Japan) happen at the same date.

So the big question here is whether the Western Allies possessed necessary manpower and resources to do the whole things, at the same time, or not...

Well, it depends what you're asking for: If you're asking if things can be made so Germany and Japan officially surrender on the same day - That's not so hard, simply have Germany hold out a little longer.

As for having the Allies capturing Berlin and Tokyo at the same time - Barely possible, capturing Tokyo is a pretty tall order, it was have taken a LOT longer than taking Berlin

Slightly earlier development of nukes, say by about a year, in time to intimidate them both into surrender (with Hitler having been overthrown in a coup when he refused to surrender after the first bomb was dropped on Germany... perhaps on Dresden?) on the same day.

Without the Soviets this will never happen due to how WAllied strategy worked.

I want Western Allied invasions of both Germany and Japan, which resulted into the capture of Berlin and Tokyo by the Western Allies, and the surrender of German and Japanese governments at the same day. In the other words, Overlord, Dragoon, Olympic, and Coronet successfully executed at same week (or month).
And no intimidation by nukes.

Elaborate, please...?

The Germany First Strategy bluntly put guarantees that there will never be a simultaneous invasion of Japan and Germany. The USA of today knows it was more than able to wage a joint offensive war across two oceans, one of which is perhaps the most lopsided modern war between two Great Powers. The USA of the 1930s, OTOH......
